Nebius shares pop on $27M AI infrastructure deal with Meta Platforms

Massive AI Infrastructure Deal

Nebius Group is a Dutch AI cloud company. They have signed a 5-year deal with Meta Platforms. This deal is for AI infrastructure. The deal is worth up to $27 billion.

The deal includes:

$12 billion for dedicated AI compute capacity starting in 2027.

Up to $15 billion in extra capacity that Meta can purchase during the same period.

🔹 What Nebius will provide

Nebius will provide large-scale AI data centre computing. They will use advanced hardware, such as Nvidia’s Vera Rubin platform. These clusters will help train and run AI models for Meta’s new AI products.

🔹 Market reaction

Nebius shares rose by about 12–15% after the news. Investors see this contract as a key long-term revenue source. It also shows that demand for AI compute is rising fast.

🔹 Why this matters

Big Tech is racing to secure AI compute capacity, as GPUs, power, and data-centre space are in short supply. Deals like this show a shift to “neocloud” providers. These AI-focused clouds are now competing with traditional hyperscalers.
