Over the next year, Roku predicts that 100% of the streaming audience will see ads. For growth marketers in 2026, CTV will remain an important “safe space” as AI creates widespread disruption in the search and social channels. Plus, easier access to self-serve CTV ad buying tools and targeting options will lead to a surge in locally-targeted streaming campaigns.
Read our guide to find out why growth marketers should make sure CTV is part of their 2026 media mix.
OpenAI asked Trump administration to expand Chips Act tax credit to cover data centers

OpenAI has asked the U.S. government to increase the tax credit for the Advanced Manufacturing Investment Credit (AMIC). This credit, from the CHIPS Act, should do more than just support semiconductor production. Specifically:
Key Points:
The company's letter says the tax credit will cover AI servers, data centres, parts of the electrical grid, and other infrastructure for AI training.
The letter was sent to the White House’s Office of Science and Technology Policy.
OpenAI urged faster permits and environmental checks for new infrastructure projects. They also called for a strategic reserve of raw materials. This includes copper, aluminium, and rare earths, which are key for AI infrastructure.
OpenAI's CEO stated in a post that the company isn't seeking direct government guarantees for its data centres.
OpenAI aims to achieve an annual revenue run-rate over USD 20 billion by 2025. Then, it plans to grow to “hundreds of billions” by 2030. The company expects to make about USD 1.4 trillion in capital commitments over the next eight years.

10% of Nvidia’s cost: Why Tesla-Intel chip partnership demands attention

Tesla, Inc. (led by Elon Musk) announced at its shareholder meeting that it could partner with Intel Corporation. This partnership plans to create its 5th-generation AI chip (AI5) for self-driving systems.
Key Points:
Tesla says that, if it works, this chip will cost about 10% of Nvidia's top chip. It will also use around one-third of the power.
The company is looking into building a large facility, called a “terafab.” This facility can produce 100,000 wafer starts each month to meet high volume goals.
The timeline includes modest production of AI5 in 2026, increasing volume by 2027. AI6 is expected around mid-2028, using the same facility but with doubled performance.
Google Maps releases new AI tools that let you create interactive projects

Google Maps is adding a builder agent. You can type a description, like “create a Street View tour of a city” or “list pet-friendly hotels.” It will then generate the prototype code for you.
Key points:
The tool has a styling agent. You can customise the look of maps, like colour coding and themes, to match your brand or project style.
Google is also introducing the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. This connects AI assistants to Google Maps documentation and enables “Grounding Lite.” This feature helps assistants answer questions like, “How far is the nearest grocery store?” They can show a list, a map view, or 3-D displays.
Developers can export the code. They can test it in their environments, like Firebase Studio. They can also use their own API keys and modify the project further.
Google is adding more Gemini-powered features, like large-language and vision models, to Maps.
