Adobe Firefly now supports prompt-based video editing, adds more third-party models

Adobe has upgraded Firefly with new features for AI video creation and editing.

🎬 Prompt-based video editing

Users can now edit videos by simply describing their needs in natural language. You don't need to search through menus anymore. Just type prompts like: “Replace this background with a beach sunset.” “Add slow-motion to this clip and brighten the highlights.” Firefly gets these requests and makes the edits. This leads to AI-first video workflows.

🔌 Support for more third-party models

Adobe is growing Firefly’s ecosystem. Now, creators can use different AI models from other providers while editing videos.

This adds more styles, effects, and generative techniques to Firefly’s core tools. Creators gain greater flexibility and can express their creativity better.

Data and AI firm Databricks valued at $134 billion in latest funding round

Databricks, based in San Francisco, is a data analytics and AI platform. It has raised over $4 billion in a Series L funding round, valuing the company at about $134 billion. Insight Partners, Fidelity Management & Research, and J.P. Morgan Asset Management led this round. Heavyweight investors like Andreessen Horowitz, BlackRock, and Blackstone also participated.

The company shows strong momentum:

  • It reported a $4.8 billion revenue run rate in Q3 2025, a 55% year-over-year increase.

  • Its AI and data warehousing segments each surpassed $1 billion in revenue run rates.

  • Databricks has maintained positive free cash flow over the past year.

Databricks now serves over 20,000 customers worldwide. This includes Shell, AT&T, Toyota, Adobe, and the NBA. It shows a strong demand for enterprise data and AI solutions.
